Designer Babies in a Designer World

Designer Babies in a Designer World

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

The world could be a dream.

"

Designer Babies in a Designer World

August doors opened

to wind and rain.

June and July failed

to deliver too.

It's like we have to grasp

at any glimmer of summer,

squeeze out the remnants

like an empty toothpaste tube.

Yet across the Mediterranean they are

gripped in a heat wave,

frying in forty degrees.

How nice it would be to

to alter the DNA of weather

and make it perfect for all.

Thank you so much Ron.
You do know that "controlled weather" is a real thing...in Alaska? High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP). That said, would that they could do more than "seed" clouds to rain on drought stricken lands and put in a cosmic AC unit for Biloxi, MS during the months of March through November. And maybe a huge "vent" that blows heat directly from the sun on days that the temperature dips below 40 degrees Fahrenheit. But then we would be living in a dome...on Mars...

Controlled weather. Men are trying. Mother Nature is very stubborn. Nice hope and thoughts in the words. Thank you John for sharing the amazing poetry.

You are welcome John.
i wish we could alter the DNA of people and make them more loving...less hateful...

That would be utopia Jacob but not likely. Many thanks.
It would be great if our goverment spared more budget for such research rather than for weaponry of mass destruction. Loved this poem John.

You are welcome.
Yes, I know where you're coming from with this one John. It kinda feels personal when it is now the norm to hear the weather reporter describing forthcoming rain as violent. Where is the fairness in us being assaulted by weather? .

None at all Lorry but glad I don't live in the west of Scotland lol! Many thanks.
I hear ya John but we must always have a brolly. Thats de rigueur now (was it ever anything else).
I remember reading about 'cloud seeding' experiments for rain - wonder if that ever delivered?
