Regrets, I've Had a FewA Poem by John Alexander McFadyenIf only.Regrets,
I Have a Few I wish Perseus had turned me to stone so that I could bear this weight more ably. I once dreamt that I would don Hermes sandals and wield the shield of Athena, and that I would slay all three Gorgons in their lair. But alas that was never to come to pass and instead I have lived in the shadow of the Serpent; That monster poisoning my blood with venom so potent that my heart has simply ceased to exist. Forever, I longed to attend the grand feast of Circe, but for the pigs. And I too would return for the gift of immortality. But I would simply be playing Apollo's tune. 10/07/17 © 2017 John Alexander McFadyenReviews
