Woman

Woman

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

A dark response to Kelly's beautiful love poem of the same name to illustrate the juxtaposition some face.

"

Woman

I am man.

I look upon you,

woman,

as inferior,

as a possession.

A birthright.

Something I can take

whenever I choose.

Something I own,

someone there at my

beck and call,

and I really expect

to be served well.

So be warned!

Alpha male me,

red meat, bloody

and rare.

And my meal had best be on the table

when I get home.

Sex on demand

when I stagger back

along the lane,

whiskey'd and all beery

breathed after watching

my team lose to United

at the local,

where I touch-up the barmaids.

You don't know how lucky

you are!

You really don't.

I was hoping to see a few views from our great female poets on this site. (How diplomatic am i.)
But since they're none. I'm staggering beside you.
Till Margie comes on and kills you. lol

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
