The Grande Arena

The Grande Arena

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

A brutal, misguided act!

"

The Grande Arena

Encore Ariana,

exit stage left

to explosive applause.

That's the nuts

and bolts of it

as children fall

in the name

of false faith.

A faceless disciple

mounted the dais

in the name of Allah

to steal the adulation

of teenage fans.

To smother the joy

of innocent hearts.

A broken star,

a shattered city,

a nation united

in grief and anger

left to lick wounds

that will never heal.

Aloha John, great piece, honest and powerful words. News of the attack made my heart feel so heavy, and incredibly sad for the families. Mahalo for this work. Izzy

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
