My pillars weaken and fall one by one. Clueless I dwell helplessly in the silence of death. Your words are full of an unearthly beauty here.

Words are filled with unearthly beauty here,
mere whispers that echo
in succulent caverns.
A place of tranquillity,
a place of possibilities.
Here we exist,
disembodied hearts,
two butterflies,
freefalling
into the hurricane.

No words left John. Indeed, we are as butterflies in a giant cavern. In freefall, where the winds take us. Thanks for beautiful poetry you created from our thoughts. Disembodied but not disconnected.

No, I thank you for the inspiration that we share. Many thanks Divya.
I clicked on this because of the title, "End of Days", very intriguing, I wanted to see what it was about. A few words can have a big impact, and this is exactly that. Very hard-hitting, and extremely beautiful. I just love this for some reason.

Thank you Mira. Glad you liked it despite the subject matter.
This one packs a punch, John. I have lost way too many people in the last 10 years...young and old friends and relatives. It never gets any easier, does it? So emotional. Lydi**

Indeed and all the famous people we grew up listening to or watching. Many thanks Lydi.
It has become all too common now that I'm older. Friends are here today and gone tomorrow.
So sad.

Excellently written John, so many friends, family, and musicians we followed with their music are falling like confetti, now ever so slowly ,but only to become heavy as a whole generation is gone.
I infuse vigor into every day, perhaps only by writing. It seemingly makes each day an epitaph of gratefulness.
You write these senryu's with such finesse John, such conviction!

i am facing it as well...people i grew up with...friends, family...celebrities...so many gone now...i am a survivor...

Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
