All The Leaves Are BrownA Poem by John Alexander McFadyenAll The Leaves Are Brown
We walked. And for the briefest moment I looked into your eyes and glimpsed the moon and stars. A map perhaps of some future place here on earth; a shaft of light that pierced my heart and made me giddy with excitement. Transfixed, confused and hopeful I followed the cues, and found a woman and life partner like none before. A lady clothed in an overcoat of many colours who has brought such warmth and life and reason back to my dying soul.
