Broken Sculpture

Broken Sculpture

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

How women try shape you.

"

Broken Sculpture

Galvanised steel

was my metal.

My crystallised skin

a spangle,

until you came

and broke me up

for the scrap value.

The sum of all

my takings thus far,

now a tidy profit

in your pockets,

as you walked out

leaving me incomplete.

Then she came

with a bluer flame

to her torch,

and welded me

together again,

piece by piece.

Only to change her mind

as she hated the joins

she had made.

Not sculpted enough

for her artistic tastes.

yes, indeed... many are hard to please; some even harder... that's doesn't keep them from trying to turn us into something we are not or can never be... well-said!

Indeed people wish us to be in their image of life and love. Many thanks FT.

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
