Here and NowA Poem by John Alexander McFadyenThe nest is empty! Here and Now Not one sound have I heard today but the ticking of the clock and the beating of my heart. The sound of children's voices are now distant memories that can't even pick up the phone. I used to rejoice in their journey and tried so hard to make it good. But life is not my guardian angel as she defies me happiness. Inside I feel a mix of emotion, proud that my sires are so independent of me, and sad that I am the forgotten father. And so I write my pain upon pages soaked in bitter tears.
