Pieces of Love

Pieces of Love

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

What it says.

"

Pieces of Love

Love's Pledge

Fair maid

for thee

I would indeed

provide.

02/05/15

My Offer

You brought me bread

and I would give you

the finest wines

and the freshest fruits.

I would lavish you

with the gift of love

and tend your needs

with warm and adoring lips.

02/05/15

Let Me

Let me fill the gaps

in your soul,

repair the wounds

in your heart

and tend the bruises

behind once bright,

now shattered eyes.

02/05/15

Love's Flow

Sweet dews

of love

we would mix;

elixir

for our souls.

02/05/15

Unfilled

My heart is but

an empty vessel

ready for you

to fill its

barren chambers

with your love.

02/05/15

Love's Cure

Your sweetness,

your drizzled honey,

is a poultice

upon the bitter

infected wounds

that I have endured.

Very open and vulnerable odes to love and tribute to the beloved muse, so open like renaissance paintings depicting open nakedness, but just in a different kind of nakedness.

Thank you so much Nadia.
as Nisreenaa expressed...a perfect collection to profess a love so true and tender...to one who could salve the infected wounds of the past.

Hi John. Well sizzled!!!!!!!!!! Love this. A very gentle portrayal of deep passion, served so humbly and reverently!!! Makes me wish I was a 'fair maid' . . . sort of!! to have the wounds of one's heart repaired by this author sound the epitome of utopia!!! Loved it, alf

The avatar showing two puzzle pieces connecting was a brilliant showcase for this magnificent piece, John. I especially loved how brief you kept each stanza!

The awe of this cannot be absorbed too much for me!

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
