Love’s Commitment LostA Poem by John Alexander McFadyenI try, try...................Love’s Commitment Lost Long misunderstood, I am a fool, who is full of love, blinded by the truth; hiding from the weakness of frail and damaged hearts. How I have cared for them, cherished them, tried to repair them, for that is my simple nature. And yet, here am I adrift in space, lost in silence, floating in the inky black isolation of an empty universe. Is anyone out there in that dark night sky? Anyone who will read me, turn the pages slowly from cover to cover until I am burned upon their conscience, drifting in their dreams, and etched upon their souls forever.
