Frozen in TimeA Poem by John Alexander McFadyenWhen you are locked in ice!Frozen in Time If you talk past the point you fail to see me; to see my heart, my needs and to communicate that I have touched your breast and that touch has burnt into the cavity where your heart lies frozen, welded to ribs so brittle that they break in love’s breath. If you talk past the point eternity becomes an empty, vacuous place, where no warmth can melt the thick ice flows of mistrust. Where, I cannot reach in and pull you from the frozen fiord where you lie in suspended animation. So open your soul and receive me and I will warm you with love.
