The Virtue of Piety

The Virtue of Piety

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen

The Virtue Of Piety

I dream of leaving traces of my words

in your heart.

A delicate gossamer tattoo of poetry

to fill you up with joy

and remain yours forever more.

They would give whispered meaning

to the very soul of love,

so that you will know the face of such devotion,

and can give yourself in trust.

I long for my words to leave you breathless,

treading in anticipation

each and every time we meet,

with lips full of passion’s fervent kisses.

I want them to paint our canvas

in the brightest hues

that nature can command

and to spirit you

to the safe sanctuary

of bliss and enchantment

where you can believe.

And where your ethereal dreams,

mixed with our desires,

become one with mine.

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
