Father's Pride

Father's Pride

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen

Father’s Pride

I love all of my beautiful children,

but when I look at each in turn,

I love them more.

Inside a bubble of delight,

of swollen pride, just grows

to fill my chest

until I am bursting

full of joy.

And I realise

just how lucky I am

to love all of my beautiful children

equally, unreservedly

and unconditionally.

As a parent of one, I feel my joy cannot be contained! I enjoyed seeing this side of you, John.

This is a lovely poem for your children to look upon John, I'm sure they love you, just as much as you love them in return :)
