In Love

In Love

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen

In Love

And where your footprints go

I will follow.

For you are my sweetest

indulgence.

The irresistible nectar

that leaves me insatiate

and exposed to the falling.

And I would drink

every last drop of you

until you were in my blood,

feeding my heart,

pumping the oxygen of love

through my lungs.

You are the fruit

I would pluck

from the highest branch

to savour.

The moon and stars

that I would adore.

The heavenly angels

and sprites

I would believe in

until my soul

was complete.

You are no doubt insatiable my Lord, that fruit line is killing me....you're too good for words.

Touche'!
I'm afraid I have a problem that is undeniably "snowballing" as I speak...I'm running out of superlatives to define what I wish to say!

Whatever shall I do...woe is me!

Wow, that really stands out to me. This is a fine poem with nice detail and sentiments that go deep. Real nice job here.

Insatiate is correct by the way as it refers to still wanting more.

Thank you so much Richard
yep... sounds like love to me... This is stunning... Dang you... I told you to warn me before making the hopeless romantic in my head and heart melt... she is all smiling and "ooooh'ing and ahhhhh'ing"

any woman would be breathless to have these words whispered to her... I am almost speechless.. seriously--this is such a magnificent promise to the one who has stolen your heart... she is one lucky lady sir... and sounds like she is one gorgeous creature... awesome job:)
