In Love

And where your footprints go

I will follow.

For you are my sweetest

indulgence.

The irresistible nectar

that leaves me insatiate

and exposed to the falling.

And I would drink

every last drop of you

until you were in my blood,

feeding my heart,

pumping the oxygen of love

through my lungs.

You are the fruit

I would pluck

from the highest branch

to savour.

The moon and stars

that I would adore.

The heavenly angels

and sprites

I would believe in

until my soul

was complete.
