Lovers Sunset

Lovers Sunset

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen

Lovers Sunset

Between the green dressed earth,

the sea and the sky,

is a place where my dreams were born.

When the day is done

and your toil of soil is ended,

you take a breath,

pick up your quill

and let it’s gentle sighs

spread like light across the pages,

in ethereal words that float

in warm enchantments.

They spill in sparkling stars

and the laughter of angels

bathed in moonbeam rays

and fall into my eyes.

That place,

between the earth the sea and the sky,

is where we met.

Where I saw your naked soul,

where my captivation for your sweet heart

was complete;

where my desire for you grew insatiate.

So now I long to leave the sky behind,

were poets play their timeless games of words.

And I yearn to kiss your lips in tender love

and adoration,

and walk hand in hand with you forever

upon the beaches of this earth.

John this is gorgeous and a beautiful ode to your love. Very romantic. It is hard to find someone who you love more than life and know that she is the one for you, I am happy for you. lovely.

John, this is just a well written ode to love that is strong in both content and style of writing. Happy that you have found such a person, finding them is harder than most think and if the right one for the both of you then the rest should be easy. Excellent write!

A very moving tender romantic piece. A lot of soft and sweet imagery. don't forget its does not have an apostrophe when possessive. ;)

Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
