Where Hang The Stars?

Where Hang The Stars?

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen

Where Hang The Stars?

I am weary,

so weary

of trying to tempt such beauty;

of trying to tell you

of this amazing love

I hold here in my heart

for you and you alone.

I fall to earth

each time you doubt my intentions

and cast about,

blind and thirsty,

searching for sanity.

Then you lift me

back to the stars

with fragmented, stilted words

of ethereal hope.

And there I hang,

in the limbo

fear created.

I'm not being funny John but I know exactly who she is I have been there so many times so your poem really means worlds within worlds to me, thank you....for the memories you revived, they were sad but now after so long they are just memories that have faded with time. beautiful poem.

Unrequited love, huh? I liked this one, you write with such power and passion, lovely job on this one, John. Definitely a hit poem.

I will be reading more of you.

Thank you Kayleigh you are most kind.
Another gem John, unfulfilled desires left stranded, not a pretty picture indeed.

Maybe you need a bigger ladder, just saying. :) Seriously, I love this one....

I think you might be on to something John. haha
You do unrequited love well. A really soft, romantic verse.

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
