Falling

Falling

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen

Falling

Your gravity captivates,

pulls me,

compels me,

towards you.

Drags me headlong

into your atmosphere.

A place full of sweet scented summer blooms,

where lush green meadows lay

and I feel warm rays upon my face.

There in the tranquillity of love

grow hopes and dreams

and deep desires

which burn so deep

they reach the centre

of my earth.

They rage within my soul

until I am a boiling, seething cauldron

hotter than the sun,

that only your lips can quench.

You've articulated what we all feel at some point in our lives so clearly. Nice work John!

Thank you Dilan.
A very passionate write about falling in love. Putting the brakes on won't do any good, it seems, if only one person can quench the fire.

I do believe if Keats were alive, he'd be scratching his head over this one! Wow, from your opening line to your closing, it truly is a magnificent adventure that you take us on!

Thank you for this one, John...again and again!

Thank you Kelly for such a wonderful review!!!
ok... You should put a warning label on the top of your works.... mushy alert to remind me... because you always get the voice in my head sighing with contentment and then she gets all excited and wants some attention... not fair... I love the way this one begins and ends... It is so aptly described with that magnetic force that seems to pull you in, dragging you into them.. you are compelled to look deeper... that attraction, that chemistry, that connection--it is a force that is powerful and all-consuming...(their "atmosphere")..... (mush.....comes next.... and I am keeping her gagged....) and it picks up with those raging desires burning deep in the core, boiling....wheeeew.... this one is pretty amazing... left me thinking ooooh, I want that...

Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
