Sun Kissed

I’ve found my place on Earth,

a space into which

I cannot expand

as it is infinite.

There is comfort,

indeed relief,

in knowing my place.

As my soul tastes the warm

blissful strokes of heaven

I see myself a speck

in this celestial

universe of dreams.

But my dreams are slight;

I wish not for wealth

nor for power,

just the simplicity

that fresh baked bread and wine,

a fine matured cheddar

and fresh picked beef tomatoes

can bring,

together with the healing power of solar rays

and the feel of your sweet skin.

I really enjoyed this. The simple nature of it and the unambitious desires are refreshing.
It's always nice to appreciate all the little pleasures made available to us...in a wrold which seems to have forgotten such things even exist.

Nice one John. :)

Love the basic nature of this one. A simple dream in a complex universe. Thanks for sharing.

A celebration of life and I am always interested to hear about people's dream patterns, as fascinating topic in itself.

Thank you Leslie.
"Just the simplicity"...I love it! You say sun kissed by it makes me think of all the wonderful things of summer. I could be sitting by the river with a picking, before kayaking down a killer set of rapids :)

we always want to expand, be more than we are...and i wonder why...sometimes it really is a comfort zone to just rest in who we are...and make the most of that...give me the simple things in life, and a sincere love.

Crusty bread, wine and thee, what more could you possibly ask for, heaven in this piece....love the down to earth feel of this one, and the video was perfect.

Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
