Happy EndingA Poem by John Alexander McFadyenHappy Ending I remember those sad summers, laying bare upon the grass, where passion once had lived in sweeping, gliding flights above the sky. But only sadness left its mark, soiled fingers on white satin skin as salty memories seeped into the wounds you left behind, and pain was all I had to hold. I tried so hard to flush out your pretty poison of lies and deceit with the purity of hope’s crystal waters drawn deep from long dried wells of arid gritty dreams. But they had caked salt hard and only the depth of Karina’s love could break that spell. 06/05/13 © 2013 John Alexander McFadyenReviews
