Finding Love

Finding Love

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen

Finding Love

You stood revealed,

offered the knowing of you

to me.

I bowed before you

on bended knee

and watched

you spread your wings of hope.

In that holiest tableau

I saw your beauty captivating;

sweet pleasures buried

in deep and tender eyes,

a radiant heaven kissed smile

that so warmed my soul.

In those magic moments

I saw you,

realised who you truly were.

The Angel I have longed for

had come to claim me,

bringing wondrous gifts,

the like of which I have never seen.

So I reached into your open arms

and fell soft into a welcome space,

so deep and rich

that I simply knew

this is where I should be,

this is where I truly belong.

Enjoyed the flow and layout. I tend to favor this layout for certain topics. The use of the word rich at the end blended this into "whole-fat decadence" here. But as usual I am an easy sell with all things sensual and love related.

You're always so gallant in your words dear John, does this come with instructions on how to find that kind of love by the way? Another gracious and luscious poem from they pen....

Beautiful words, my friend. Oh, to have poetry such as this penned about me...would be a dream come true. The essence of love and exquisite surrender all on one page. Love the imagery and the soft, subtle tremors of delicious delight. Well done.

Thank you so much GF.
i have always maintained that there is nothing more humble and more and more lovable than a man who is deeply in love...that explains why, when you are, every woman you meet tries to f**k it up, just to see if she can.....enjoy, my friend. this is a very sweet and powerful write!

Thank you Quin. You are kind as always.
Hey John! Great work as usual. This is definitely one of my favorites thus far. The only things I noticed were in lines 2 and 3, "the knowing of you to me" seemed a little too wordy, like it could be cut down. But that could be just me as well. Also, the the fourth to last line "So, deep and rich", should there be a comma in there?

Great poem though. As I said before, this is definitely one of my favorites.
