Permission to Land

Permission to Land

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen

Permission to Land

As storm clouds gather

around your life

I am forced to circle the skies,

waiting.

From my clear vantage

I see the landing strip,

the tower

and the terminal building

through drifting mists.

Still I keep this dreary watch,

this holding pattern.

I am so close to you

and yet so far,

but here

I must remain,

until you give me

permission to land.

Intriguing read - creative process of thought. Life holds us back sometimes - we wait until the storm has passed, or someone is ready to hear, to receive, or to continue a friendship, etc. nice penning, John!

No problemo
I am so close to you
and yet so far,(love these lines)

The poem looks like the narrator have someone which means a lot to him. Which he needed to go back to and all that romantic elements stuffed on this (:

The poem was full and bonded with emotions (:

Good job, Sir 9:)

You're welcome, sir
:)

I didn't think you'd need a green signal John!

You have done wonders with flight terminology!
The feelings totally conveyed.

And great imagination! :)

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
