Permission to Land

Permission to Land

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen

Permission to Land

As storm clouds gather

around your life

I am forced to circle the skies,

waiting.

From my clear vantage

I see the landing strip,

the tower

and the terminal building

through drifting mists.

Still I keep this dreary watch,

this holding pattern.

I am so close to you

and yet so far,

but here

I must remain,

until you give me

permission to land.

Ahhh, he loves someone who is unavailable to him for some reason. So he waits. ...and waits. How long can he circle before he crashes and burns? Angi~

another parallel! Spooky.
Holy cats, John...if The Brit could write, this is what he'd produce, without question ;-) I think he feels like this pretty much all the damn time, but I keep telling him, hey, that's life when you love a depressed, self-loathing narcissist with cyclothymic disorder xD Seriously, though...this is really great. Thanks so much for sharing this with us.

What do I hear? The control tower can see your aircraft is in trouble with daily events, but unwilling to step in to guide you to the flight strip till you ask for assistance. Sacrifice your pride ask for help.

Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
