You Bring Me Bread

You Bring Me Bread

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen

You Bring Me Bread

You bring me bread,

fresh baked and kneaded

with your soft open hands.

You offer yourself

in naked, honest devotion

spread across my bed

in warm, flowing voluptuous

curves.

You hold out hope

and bold salvation,

like a warm poultice

to draw the poison

of the past from

these deep wounds.

Your adoration is like

the warm June sun

stroking my skin

till I am erect with passion,

anticipation and desire

for all of you.

And I would eat this bread

at the altar where

you have laid out

this carnal feast,

but I would break it

with you.

Would drizzle it well

in virgin oils and

sweet, aromatic, dark

 balsamic tastes

and flavour it with strong cheese

and fragrant herbs.

So bake me loaves

that we may share

many flavours together;

pesto, sundried tomatoes,

Parmesan, basil and garlic

and we will dine well

my love.

Yes, very good as per usual! The(k)neadiness and feelings of vulnerability mixed with the delicate seasoning of wild eroticism seems very 'run of the mill' for you John. Well done, you've managed to 'grind' out another gem!

Jon even! It's been a long day!
Other than being great as usual John, you have now made me hungry for bread...
Do not be surprised if you either get bread next meeting or a slapped bottom!!!
I am going to have to call Karina for some baking advice me thinks!!
(Is it too late at 3am to bake?)

Thank you so much Cord. I'd be tempted to say I was well bred but that would be a corny joke lol!
How strange that this should be the first poem I read after a lunch that consisted of the flakiest bread I have ever eaten...crumbs, everywhere...bloody awful mess. Not so this piece. It's incredible, John. Very passionate and a bit racy...got my pulse rate up ;-)

Hi Kimmer, thank, you and thank you. You are amazing.
Bread,Virgin oil, Pesto, Tomatoes, Sun,Devotion, Passion, Wound, Salvation, Desire, Anticipation,Love and Bed
A little knead here and a little knead there, heat up the oven and after a hour of bake bring it out on a plate.
Voilà, there you are, John McFayden and his masterpiece
