And So Farewell

And So Farewell

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen

And So Farewell

You take my simple words

and bend them

in distorted hates.

Your eloquent prose

hides well your anal nature,

buried in the grave

of your own disaster;

so deep.

You proclaim

loves you dare not keep,

from behind the dark veil

of anonymity.

So many early morning hours

spent in cathartic rhyme,

simply a ruse

to protect the you

you hold behind that wall,

so distant from the world that hurts,

no one will ever look into your eyes

nor feel the warmth

of such pale skin.

(should "pros" be "prose"?)

Scathing...I always have a brief moment of narcissistic paranoia that you're writing about me *LAUGH* Some of the lines in this piece are so beautifully painful, I just want to double over in empathy...really profound write, John...truly intense.
