And So Farewell

And So Farewell

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen

And So Farewell

You take my simple words

and bend them

in distorted hates.

Your eloquent prose

hides well your anal nature,

buried in the grave

of your own disaster;

so deep.

You proclaim

loves you dare not keep,

from behind the dark veil

of anonymity.

So many early morning hours

spent in cathartic rhyme,

simply a ruse

to protect the you

you hold behind that wall,

so distant from the world that hurts,

no one will ever look into your eyes

nor feel the warmth

of such pale skin.

Thank you Aaron.
I'm not sure I quite got it 100%, this seems to be a very personal account, that is flavoured with twisted bitterness, I'd like to know a bit more - great to read

yes perhaps, these thing are confusing
A good poem, that impresses with real bitterness and hardness, like the use of anal nature, and the very threatening last lines - I believe you.

Thank you VD
I had to read it twice to formulate the idea..
But the lines that still are striking me :
"You take my simple words
and bend them
in distorted hates.
"

How intelligently done ...
Amazing writing ..

I didn't get what Claire got... (that's alright, right?)
I get that she's too afraid of coming out and being seen as it were.
But, ah; what do I know?

Yes you both have it right. It's about how you handle it and treat the other person. Thanks Nicki

Oooh, such pain and hatred! She sounds vile (I hope it's not me too!! Joke!). You're a genius at conveying emotion John.
