The Eagle Has Landed

The Eagle Has Landed

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

A tribute to Neil Armstrong

"

The Eagle Has Landed

One small step

changed our belief

as man left our world,

 once flat,

and mounted the clouds

as only Gods could achieve.

The Creator now takes Neil

into his space

but not before

he bore witness

to human desire.

To the fire in our belly

for new worlds

to explore,

new discoveries to make

as we seek our salvation.

And so now the Gods

have felt our presence,

man must leave

his footprint

on blood red soil.

Nah, just making me emotional.
But then, that's nothing new!
You have written a wonderful piece to honor Neil Armstrong.
Could you remove the title,"The Eagle Has Landed" from the top?
It is a duplication.
If you remove this the shape may roughly resemble a rocket which allowed
Neil Armstrong in his awesome exploration.
You can also post a photo of the Lunar Mission of Neil Armstrong, one of the greatest explorers of all time.
I pray for the eternal peace of Neil Armstrong.

Yeah I heard about 40 minutes ago on the 13:00 news. Not sad just the passing of an era.

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
