Something You Took

Something You Took

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen

Something You Took

You didn’t love me at all.

In your suffering and pain

I was just your paracetamol

to dull the ache

and mask the guilt;

just something you took.

And I fell to be taken,

like a trusting child

open armed and reaching,

besotted as you smiled

to steal my heart and soul;

just something you took.

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
