Slay the Monster

Slay the Monster

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen

Slay The Monster

Don’t let your love be envious
For I am surely true to you.
Don’t stare, eyes green,
Face gaunt with suspicion,
Mind racked with torture,
Searching for clues of infidelity.
Let my eyes guide you,
And my lips inform the truth;
Have my embrace restore your faith
And slay the monster fear created.
