Freed Myself

Freed Myself

A Poem by Passion

Back to the roots of my heart;
The sounds of my soul.
Back to the place where I found peace in this broken world.

I'd forgotten that poetry is part of what makes me whole.
So, let's let the truth be told...

I fell deep into darkness and sorrow.
Let my life be controlled; vassal.
I was a walking, talking puppet on a string.
It was hard not feeling a damn thing!

I will no longer be your captive!
Never heard, nor seen!
Take off that entitled ring,
For today, I am done being your piece of unwanted bling.

I have jumped off your narsasstic swing;
Freed myself from your toxic sting.
Keep your frivolous belongings,
to me they mean nothing!
On my own two feet is where I am standing
and there isn't a damn thing you can do to stop me!
