Poem option #1

Why do stars twinkle?

Are the heavens proud of me,

Giving me a round of applause,

 good job little one you have done quite well

Do they see my tears and a shed some of their own

Or are they there to show me the way

Like they have done so many times before

They are the guardian angels of all the lost souls

Helping us, holding ourselves together with a thread of hope

When I smile up at them, I know they are smiling back

And I know my grandpa’s up there somewhere

Telling me to never look back
