Glisten

Glisten

A Poem by Passingthoughts

Today I have kept silent and only listened
Today I have looked and seen the world glisten
There is so much good and kindness that we miss
Going through this busy life we cant see the bliss
I think it is time to slow down and take it all in
Become one with mother nature again
Stop honking your horns stop screaming out
Try to stop and remember what life is really about
Because all this war anger and hate
Is bringing us down to an awful fate
Just stop for one second take a step back
Focus on what you have and not what you lack
So for just one minute stop and listen
And you too can see the world glisten

This has such great intention. The rhyme scheme is a little to AA BB, but otherwise, I very much like this. & I agree, we do need to look up more, see the good in things. But just be grateful the world has people like you, who do!
