Redemption

Redemption

A Poem by Passingdaze
"

A poem.

"

The wind will carry me tonight,
As I light this cigarette it all comes raging back to me.
I feel the intent behind your stare...
Penetrating,closing me off.
I will keep my distance and seek shelter
From the malice of your ways.
You keep on picking at my bones,
But I simply refuse to die.
Forever burning you into my eyes,
The ground my enemy left behind.
If only I could make you disappear,
I would breathe and force you out.
The end would be my release,
Breaking free from this prison...
This Hell you've made for me.

I love this poem. My favorite line would have to be...

But I simply refuse to die.

Because it's so you and I think it's just a powerful line. Awesome job.
