The Tide Washes Me Away

The Tide Washes Me Away

A Poem by Passingdaze
"

A short one. One I really like.

"

SILENT ARE THE GULLS
SOARING THROUGH AN OVERCAST SKY
WAVES CRASHING WITHOUT REMORSE
AGAINST MY FEET BLACK AND BLUE

TIRED IS THE HEART
THAT YOUR LIES HAVE SURELY FED
BROKEN SPIRIT DYING
SPLIT AND TORN AWAY

TRAGIC IS THE SEA
ALONE WITH THOUGHTS OF SORROW
WASTED MORNING PASSES
AFRAID OF WHAT MAY COME

As painful as this poem is, I find it absolutely beautiful.

Desolate and desparaging. I like it. Such heartache. Kudos.
