I try so hard to free you from yourself inflicted chains but I can’t free someone whose intoxicated with the fall
I want to save you from that clawing, ripping beast inside your soul that infects you with sadness
I kiss away his nasty words and try to sooth his angry cuts but it’s not strong enough to make it stop
Your trying to save yourself by holding on the only life raft you’ve ever had which is nothing more than self hatred
You can’t jump in quick sand anymore and ask why the ground is unsteady because I’m over here on solid ground trying to save you with a stick I found on the ground in my OWN journey
but the more I try the more I feel like we both sink deeper and I can’t go back to that life
I don’t want to drown anymore than you do but I don’t want to drown trying to save you because than we both never reach happiness together
The only savior your going to have is you and until you decide your done listening to all those pesky voices in your head you will always feel their effect on your soul and for that I’m sorry
I’m so sorry my love can’t scoop up all your rotted parts and make them flourish again
I’m sorry I can’t kiss away your tears and I’m sorry I can’t hold your pieces together
I’m not the glue that’s going to keep you from shattering
I’m the one who tells you you’ve had that glue all this time
I’m the one who shows you how to put the pieces together
But I can’t do it for you
And for that I’m sorry
But despite us sharing a home with both our demons I’m grateful
Because I’ve never loved like this and Iv never been loved like this
Even if it’s silent love
Silent love is better then unrequited and nothing we share is unrequited
I’ll love you through your suffering if you love me through mine
But only if through the suffering we find growth & Peace
Because we both know we deserve it
And I’m tired of letting demons take my time
