Unrequited

Unrequited

A Poem by AiH

you sit in front of me
but even though I can see myself in the reflection of your glasses
these 300 miles are felt
with each word we share
I'm so afraid to be loved
that I deny its possibility
you kiss my forehead
and hold my hands
yet I sit here across from you
afraid to speak
in case all i get in return
is unrequited love
