Proper Treatment

i used to think i was selfish

to want to put myself first

my happiness

my comfort

but i found along the way

that i am not selfish

i am selfless

because by making myself believe

i am worth something more

than a one night stand

or cat call on the street

i remind others of how 

they should not only treat others

but how to treat themselves
