Nevar ----

I tried to fight off the demons in the night

They were tough suckers and did you know they BITE?!

 

Bruises and teeth marks aside, the battles not over

We are here, the wait will be long and somber

 

Games played time wasted

We are still waiting

 

Lives lived, loves pasted,

Our love will out last

 

When my head hits the pillow, sleep is at bay

You are missed more each and every day!

 

Find your way through this maze

We will be there at the end

 

A smile and a laugh from afar

From you would send us to the stars!

i like this poem. waiting can be excruciating. to me it seems as if maybe someone is in the hospital, or sick, & you are waiting for them to come home. "Find your way through this maze We will be there at the end" this is my favorite stanza. your own strength shows strongly in this poem, fighting the demons, sticking it out for this person, not giving up on them, this all takes a lot of courage. very good emotional write.
