Shatter into light, O' ParvanehA Poem by Parvaneh
With the scorching fire on your tongue
burn me not, joonam! With the sharpened edges of your heart slash mine not. For, if I break I'll break into a thousand pieces and whirl around your soul, like a thousand scattered fireflies.... Where would you fly off to then, my regal Falcon? And, how would you hide your routes then? ... when my broken heart follows to light up your sky ... when my splintered pieces shimmer beneath your wings O' Parvaneh! Does not your beloved know that the light with which your love is aglow are the conspiring stars that you arrange and rearrange in Fajr sky; so when the "ancient tale" is reborn again, your love becomes a torch to guide your "bird's" flight... ... gently back to your "soul's cage" again? © 2014 ParvanehAuthor's Note
