Dance as dust and wind, O' Parvaneh

Dance as dust and wind, O' Parvaneh

A Poem by Parvaneh

Like dust I gather
over the red glass of your heart's lantern.
And like wind you blow me away each time;
sending me back to whirl with the sandstorms
born through our stubborn love's scorching desert --
until wayward "Majnun" moths swarm to cover you
and drink the heady wine of your intoxicating light
... only to die in you
... only to die to you
Did you not know
that in the close vicinity of your candent shimmer,
your love secretly beckons me,
like silent "Ka'bah" does a devoted pilgrim?
Ah!
And through a thousand desert storms
I jostle myself back to you again;
atom by atom
breath by breath.

O' Parvaneh!
In this dance between Dust and Wind
become one with your Beloved now...
... and merge forever with each other's mirrored soul.
