Adieu

Adieu

A Poem by Adam Mc

Today, tomorrow, night shall cast itself once more
And the moon, showing itself in that dark blanket
A cloud, alone and weeping in the midnight air
Its tears hit my face and so I too know sorrow
Kneeling in a puddle of self pity
Realizing in my reflection I am insignificant
To the moon, my friend, I bid adieu, adieu
As I am lunging toward a rocky ambition
I say farewell to the new starlight
with my final breath, adieu, adieu, farewell and adieu
