From a child's perspective

From a child's perspective

A Poem by Parthenius

Let's look at things from a child's perspective
who's life back home was always wild and hectic
On the outside, he was always smiling yet this
Smile of his was a cry for attention

His parents often argued and the child bore the tension
He could not understand then how someone could be born aggresive
His parents did not have any high expectation
but I guess the tension

made the boy search for a way to take his stress out
In time, he started fighting as a way to face his mess now
Never had enough money so he bullied other kids
Never was told to study so he thought school is nothing big

Sometimes he doesn't understand why he was born in the first place
Every year he would mourn on his birthday
Even though now he is all grown up, he sill doesn't get it
He could no longer look at it from a child's perspective
