Lost in her eyes

Lost in her eyes

A Poem by Parthenius

Her eyes are like crystal balls, mysterious and magical
As she gazes from behind her spectacles
I look at my reflection in her eyes which were beaming
and I saw visions of our future together in them

In those few seconds I lost my senses and couldn't tell how,
I was completely spellbound
Everything around me started dissapearing
and I find myself not able to reason clearly

I hear her breating near me, my heart beating fiercely
I was afraid I would start speaking weirdly
But then I saw her heels turned
and thus , I returned to the real world

Shalom, this is my first time posting here. I just want to point out that I often use phrases that rhyme together when I write. For example in this poem i used rhymes such as reason clearly, breathing near me, beating fiercely, speaking weirdly and heels turned, real world. I would love any feedbacks and criticism, thank you !

Very cool! I like your use of the rhyming phrases - it unifies the poem and gives it a unique, interesting flow. That kind of thing can be difficult to master, so good for you for using that technique! I also really like the image of the crystal balls and how it is developed throughout the poem, from the speaker seeing his "reflection" and "visions of [the] future together" in the subject's eyes to him being "completely spellbound" and becoming monetarily detached from reality. This is a very interesting and unique expression of this experience. Nice work!
