The Seeker

The Seeker

A Poem by Partha

I asked the sea, “Can you tell me

How your depth and your waves makes me feel free?”

The sea sent its waves they roared on the shore

But the answer I seek they didn’t have in store.

I asked the rain, yet once again

“Like droplets of joy how you wash away my pain?”

Through transparent raindrops rain tried to break

The secret of its beauty but it still remained opaque.

I asked distant hills, “I won’t rest until

You tell me yourself how you give me such thrills?”

On their misty peaks sunlight did spark

But what I wanted to know was kept in the dark.

I asked her this, “Girl tell me please

How your thoughts make my day like a tender breeze?”

In the picture her smile did the same thing same style

My question faded as I daydreamed her a while.

In the end I did find, that love is divine

Just within words it does not confine

I didn’t find my answer but I can imply

There’s no reason I love them and I love them that’s why.

The imagery in this poem is really powerful. The journey backwards from the sea to the hills shows a true sense of hunting for simplicity that I really admire.

That's beautiful.

Love's mystical spell is illustrated in a wonderful way trough you're the natural images.

The second strophe is particularly intense , rain and love go together like black and white.
