LetterA Poem by ParsaThe protagonist wants love and he's okay even if the love comes at the price of compromised morality.
Do you remember the letter
That I gave you? Do you know that I wrote the letter with the ink of Each layer peeled off of My shyness, fear, new love. The letter contained more of the unspoken words than the spoken words. Just the way my heart contains an Ocean of felicity that I could never facilitate with my words, So I pledged myself,my heart,my body,my essence at your disposal. Do you remember? Or do you crave? Or do you ever smile thinking about the racing hearts beat at each others glances, Penetrating the silence of early winter midnights? Now I've the love that words Would never make sense, The outlandish, bizzare, obscene love that would Break apart our world, outcast us in front of the world. But I hope you stumble You go astray Take a path that leads you to me, Without saying a word I hope we get those blink less nights, Make a mistake Transgress Muster the courage To be a disgrace Surrender, Release, Cross my path Show me that you kept the letter. I want to believe You still remember the letter. © 2022 Parsa |
