Disguise

A Poem by Parsa
"

Feel free to relate this poem with love bombing, betrayal or with the politician who promised you everything in the manifesto but now have gone aol on you.

"
They smile
They laugh
They love
They are liars
Infested with poison
Of deceit disguised in elixir.
They promise
They chase
They guide
They endear
They are fakers
Pretending as if they care.
And this good lord I can't bear!
Like a good old-fashioned fireplace with a wine cellar
Fancy the facade they stir
Like a virgin in front of her one true lover
Fancy how vulnerable they appear.
And this good lord I can't bear
Because I have shed the fear
Can see the truth clear
And this good lord I can't bear!
