A ghost

A ghost

A Poem by ParkerTheWriter

I disappear,
a ghost that was never here,
helping with your fears,
through the long lost years,

I'm a wheel,
on third, fifth and ninth street,
with a flat tire,
this is my life,

Remove me from the car my friend,
I'm just wasteful space in the end,
always in need of fulfillment,
yet I'm never resilient,

I'm always out of place it seems,
a disgraceful, distasteful,
hateful,
loving,
helping, caring human being.
I'm a living contradiction.

As I disappear,
like a ghost within the shadows,
I hope to expunge your biggest fears,
please do not mind my body hanging from the gallows,

This is one of the first few things I've read on this site, and wow it's just so above the rest. Although the second stanza (sorry, I'm not that great with the technical terms.) kind of throws me off, you start off rhyming and get into this rhythm and then you just stop suddenly, it made me have to pause for a bit to rethink how I was reading it, but still it's great. Thanks for writing!

About
I enjoy reading philosophy. It's become one of my favorite reading materials. I'm very politically minded, often thinking of the faults and f**k ups of the world rather than the positive things in fro.. more..
