Moving Lives

Moving Lives

A Poem by Nerd_Fighter42

I like to watch the cars drive by
or see their shining lights.
The swish of their tires
The broken air

I think about the people inside
the lives that they live.

Where are they going?
Do they have to be there fast?
Are the simply taking a drive because they just can't stand the stress?

Are the happy. Are the scared.
Are they sad? Maybe their peaceful.
Maybe the man in the small blue car
has recently been engaged.

The thing about those cars
The way that they drive by
You only get a moment to see
Their quickly moving lives

But for a moment you see
a small and simple snippet

You see the air they broke,
hear the swish of their tires on the stony road,
see their brightly shining lights guiding their path
all driving by your window.
