Reckless LoveA Story by Kathryn SmithDear Megan, March 6th is still very fresh in my mind. It is etched like a tattoo. And it's strange to get flashbacks and realize how long ago it was... Here I am, 7 years later writing about you. As you know, I have left my home church because of someone who hurt me. I can't go back yet because those memories still ache and taunt me. I have been going to your family's church; St Brons. I see your Dad often and we always exchange smiles... Megan; you're either ashamed of me or laughing... But I have grown a little too fond of the new priest at your church. I remember my parents telling me about him; and how I would like him. I recently met him last month, and they were right. But what startled me was there was an enormous amount of chemistry. During a blessing, I made him laugh. I didn't dare to look in his eyes but when I did, I gave him a look of deep love. I could sense in my heart that he felt the same. And ever since I have been returning, hoping to find him. Hoping to possibly gain at least a friend. I want to tell him everything. Of you. Of my heartbreak. Of my struggle. Tomorrow is Ash Wednesday. It is also March 6th. The day I found out you were going to die from terminal cancer. I miss you so much, and I pray for your guidance in my strange situation. A grown woman should not fall in love with a Priest. Yet stranger things have happened. What if it's all a part of God's plan? If you're involved I ask you to guide me.
