Here's the thing.

I have a love/hate relationship with Facebook.

People post what they want you to see.

What they want you to think..

and that's not all of it.

The funny thing is, we as humans can be very selfish.

And if nice girls are annoyed, the proper thing to do is comment something kind.

But in reality, most of the time for me...this is how it goes down.

Situation 1: Someone posts the 80 millionth picture of their kid..and it's not even flattering. They're smashing carrots in their hair.

Comments: Oh your baby is so cute! How funny!

Truth:* I swear to god, if you post another picture of your stupid kid, I'm going to rip my eyes out....or maybe my ovaries!

Situation 2: Someone posts a 12 paragraph status about how amazing their boyfriend/girlfriend is.

Truth: Newsflash. Maybe you should tell it to their FACE instead of Book's face.

Situation 3:

Post: A detailed status about how your dog vomited all over your rug and how your life is ruined.

Comments: Oh no! I'm so sorry that happened to you!

Truth: That's gross. Put your adult pants on. Your life is not ruined.

I could go on and on about the ridiculous things I see online...and I have been so tempted to write some nasty things, but I never have..because yes. I am a nice girl.

But in all seriousness.

No one cares!

This is hilarious & so relatable! I am similarly put off by Facebook, yet I'm obligated to participate, otherwise (as a disabled old person living alone in the boondocks) people "worry about me" (they never visit, but they threaten to "check up on me" if they don't see me on FB often enuf!) Your chosen examples are so perfect & well expressed in the most delicious sassy terms. I really wanted this to go on & on. I especially avoid FB on holidays becuz I am so sick of all the photos. Still, I know this is merely a write of fiction for you, even though the scenario is, probably, spot-on true, from all I've heard of Facebook.
