Dear Heuston,

I think you would've been proud today.

Millions of women around the world marched together.

They say it was the biggest protest in history.

I wish I could have marched too.

I recently was sexually harassed by an old man.

And being victimized and how it all played out in the end

absolutely enraged me.

But I stand strong.

Some men get this "womens rights" thing..

and some men don't. (Like my own dad)

But I for one will never tolerate being objectified.

Or being told what to do.

We have so many things we must stand up for.

And the fact that we have to protest and march for certain

things is so sad.

I want to make a change Sean. I really do.

How do you suggest I go about this?

We elected a man who said "grab her by the p***y."

I choke.

I am so disappointed.

You would be too no doubt.

I will keep looking up to you.

And I vow to stand for my fellow women and country.

This is going to be an interesting 4 years.

I love you.

I hope you are safe.

I hope you are well.

I'm glad you recorded such a great day in the women's movement here Kathryn in your own inimitable style.
I'm sure JJ was a women's champion, for his Ireland (not the one that transpired sadly) was one of equals - where women could hold any post in the land and could fight the good fight and be better than most men (like the Countess Markievicz - due to be hanged circa 1916 - sentence commuted) .

As they might say in my dad's times, back in the old country "Go on ye gurl ye!"
